Life coaching is not about fixing a broken person, it is about understanding that we all have ups and downs and that we can change our focus and actions to move forwards and build the things that we want. Most people who have coaching are really quite successful, have a good job, good social life and have the things that they the things they think they should need but feel like something is missing. Something is not lining up or that they are just stuck. And that is where a coach comes in. Unlike friends and family who want to keep you safe and the same as you are now, a coach will challenge your perceptions of yourself and the world around you, push you to see things that you have been avoiding and support you to make changes that are in line with where you want to be. I believe that our experience of the world comes from the inside and I can help you change that view for the better.
I know what it’s like to be doing the things that you think you should be doing (following a certain career path, doing the things that everyone else is doing and abiding by the expectations of parents, teachers, friends etc) and how that can lead you to a place where you don’t feel like yourself anymore. You feel stuck, lost and longing for something better.
Being in a place like that can drastically knock your confidence, cause anxiety and depression and leave you feeling terrible. Your thoughts may wander off or turn into your worst critic which does you even less good in the long-term.
If you have battled with stress, anxiety or depression I am with you. I have been through it all and come through the other side (without the need for medication) and want to support you through your next steps of your journey to accept where you are right now, rediscover your innate happiness and drive then support you to plan, prioritise and put into action the things you need to do to get back to your true self.
I don’t have a one-size-fits-all approach to my coaching as I know that we all come from different places and have completely individual needs. One thing I do know is that working with me will be fun, exciting, challenging and supportive. Nobody leaves a session with me without a smile!
