Hello super peeps!
I am sitting here with another cup of tea (it is 9:42 am and I am on my third mug!) writing my to-do list as I have planned to get as much as humanly possible crossed off the list today. So why am I sitting here, writing a list and drinking tea, rather than actually getting on with it?
Well because, my friends, this is a whole lot more interesting and exciting than folding a load of laundry, cleaning the bathroom, mopping the kitchen floor or organising my finances. You agree, don’t you? 😉
Basically, I am procrastinating. It appears that I have been doing this for a while, looking at my clean laundry pile waiting patiently to be folded and put away. It is funny how I am able to ignore it though and work around and with it. I am in the process of creating a cleaning plan – used to have one but it expired – so that I can help to create new habits in the house and to break down the tasks to little ones that are easy to do, such as put robot hoover in bedroom! Ha ha!
I do really like having a clean and tidy house, so why do I do this to myself? I really don’t have an answer for that really.
The thing is, I feel that life is important and that I should seize the moment and do what makes me happy and feel fulfilled. Don’t let moments pass by! Which is great for living a happy life filled with fun and great things, however, I know in my heart and being that I would also be happier should my home be clean, tidy and presentable (don’t get me wrong, I’m not sitting here beneath a pile of old newspapers in a 40cm x 40cm space, but my home is not super tidy right now!!) so really, I need to work on myself to discover what it is that I can do to have the best of both worlds.
I don’t actually dislike doing household jobs and I feel great when I do them, so what is stopping me right now? Well, my tea and my laptop if I am really honest!
What can I do about it? Drink my tea, get dressed (yes, I am still in my lovely pyjamas!) and take time to really set about doing some of the tasks on my list, one by one, to meet my goal of completing my list and surprising my boyfriend with a beautifully clean and tidy home when he gets in from work.
Right..I’m going to do it! Back soon!
